Merrily Kerr is an art critic and writer based in New York. She writes art criticism for Time Out New York and has published in international art magazines including Art on Paper, Flash Art, Art Asia Pacific, Art Review, and Tema Celeste in addition to writing catalogue essays and guest lecturing.
Merrily teaches art appreciation at Marymount Manhatttan College and contemporary art at the New York Center for Art and Media Studies (NYCAMS).
As the founder of Merrily Kerr New York Art Tours, Merrily leads individuals and groups on trips of cultural discovery in New York's galleries and museums. She has crafted personalized tours for corporate groups, collectors, artists, and student groups from Texas Woman's University, Parsons School of Design, Chicago's Moody Institute, Cooper Union Continuing Education, Hunter College Continuing Education and other institutions. The Tennis Channel, UK-based Axis Arts, and EBC Communications have made video or audio recordings of her tours.
Merrily is a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA USA) and is licensed by New York City's Department of Consumer Affairs as a tour guide.
